Since launching Pennies in 2016, together with out generous customers, we've raise a total of £59,000.00

The votes are in and we are very excited to announce that our four charities for this year are Macmillan Cancer Support, Jersey Teenage Cancer Trust, Jersey Women's Refuge & Dementia Jersey.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

Macmillan Jersey provide emotional, practical and wellbeing services for anyone in Jersey affected by cancer. With roughly 3000 support sessions provided each year, our team of professionals and wonderful volunteers are here for you, to support you through.

DEMENTIA JERSEY

We’re a local charity committed to supporting people with dementia and the family and friends caring for them. There are around 1,600 people living with dementia in Jersey, and with an ageing population, this number is expected to double within a generation. We provide emotional support including counselling and expert dementia advice, a range of therapeutic activities, social groups for people with dementia and carers and educational programmes for the local community. Our aim is to help make Jersey a truly dementia friendly island and ensure that people affected by dementia continue to have the support they need.

JERSEY WOMEN'S REFUGE

Jersey Women's Refuge exists to protect and empower women and children affected by domestic abuse and seeks to eliminate domestic violence through education and awareness. Domestic violence is the result of an abuse of power and control. It does not discriminate, has long lasting consequences and takes on many forms including physical, emotional, psychological, financial and sexual abuse.

TEENAGE CANCER TRUST JERSEY

Nationally 1 in 2 of us are now likely to receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetimes. Being diagnosed at such a young age can throw lives off track more than at any other time and can feel particularly unjust. We make sure young people in Jersey don’t face cancer alone. We do it by providing funds which enable world-class cancer care and support in our specialist unit at Southampton Hospital and in the Jersey Hospital.
