Sales Floor Manager – Menswear
Reporting directly to the Store Manager
To manage the Menswear team (Ground and First Floor), Handbags, Accessories and Superdry (including womens)
The purpose of this role within Voisins is as follows:
- To implement the Company’s strategic policy and objectives at Sales Floor level.
- To manage, lead and develop their team of Sales Consultants and Advisors to deliver world class customer service.
- To operate their area of responsibility within the agreed staff costs budgets.
- Work with Buyers to achieve agreed targets for sales, margin and profit.
- To achieve high standards of merchandise presentation, housekeeping and staff appearance.
- To effectively manage any concessions within the product area
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Responsible, with the Buyer, for setting weekly and monthly sales targets to measure performance.
- Responsible for setting daily and weekly sales targets for individual members of the department team, monitor performance of staff ensuring formal assessments and appraisals are conducted to deadline.
- Responsible for managing and developing the people in their team, conducting induction training and probation reviews.
- Responsible for developing the selling and customer service skills of the people under their management including development of product knowledge.
- Assist the Buyer in maintaining stock inventory, stocktakes, stock checks, faulty’s and recalls.
- Responsible for providing feedback on the range plan every season and proposing adjustments.
- Responsible for planning and monitoring the department’s expenditure on staff costs and for keeping expenditure within budget.
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the brands and products available on the market and of competitor activity.
- Work with the Buyer to plan and execute the department’s promotional calendar.
- Responsible for general security in the area of responsibility and applying company Health and Safety policies.
- Responsible for ensuring that a part of each working day is spent attending to customers in their own department, to ensure an updated knowledge of customer preferences, needs and trends.
- Responsible for achieving agreed standards of visual merchandise presentation and overall visual appearance of the sales floor in their area.
- Responsible for dealing with Customer complaints.
- Portray a consistent professional, stylish and contemporary fashionable outlook at all times when representing the company.
- Be responsible for their own continuous professional development.
